CareerSource Central Florida
CareerSource Central Florida is a statewide workforce policy and investment board, promoting workforce development initiatives throughout the state of Florida. With a mission to increase worker and employer prosperity, reduce welfare dependency, and enhance worker productivity, CareerSource Central Florida works with local development boards and career centers to foster business integration throughout the region. CareerSource Central Florida serves as an integral part in developing the semiconductor ecosystem by increasing workforce growth and advancement in the industry.
Florida High Tech Corridor
The Florida High Tech Corridor covers a 23-county area anchored by three major research institutions: the University of Florida, the University of Central Florida, and the University of South Florida. The Corridor works to align academia, industry, and economic development to promote the development of specific industry clusters in Florida. The Corridor cultivates a culture of collaboration through its Cenfluence Cluster Initiative and its Matching Grants Research Program (MGRP). Cenfluence forges internationally recognized industry clusters—geographic concentrations of interconnected companies and institutions in a particular field—that are globally competitive and result in significant contributions to Central Florida’s economy. The MGRP provides matching funding to foster applied research between industry partners and university researchers at UCF and USF.

Imec is the world’s largest independent research and innovation center for nanoelectronics and digital technology, driving technological advancement for chips. With a team of 6,000 scientists, engineers, and innovators, imec is a leader in advancing world-changing technology, tackling challenges such as climate change, pollution, sustainable food provision, and accessible healthcare. Located at NeoCity, imec researches cryogenic superconductive digital computing and advanced semiconductor specialty packaging.
Midwest Microelectronics Consortium
The Midwest Microelectronics Consortium (MMEC) is a leader in accelerating microelectronic technologies. With a mission to achieve national security through innovation, MMEC helps empower organizations to create a domestic supply chain that advances defense and commercial applications. MMEC discovers new technologies and launches groundbreaking innovation into scalable commercial production for the benefit of National Security and economic prosperity, unifying legion infrastructure and increasing microelectronic development.

The Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) is an economic and community development organization that works to advance Broad-based Prosperity®. Through the power of partnerships, the Partnership grows the economy, attracts companies that create new jobs, drives investment, improves competitiveness, and fuels regional leadership.
Osceola County
Osceola County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation and a center for research innovation and technology. By investing in districts like NeoCity, a technology district used as a hub for semiconductor research and development, and working with numerous state, federal, and international partners, Osceola County serves as a leader in the advanced and specialty packaging of semiconductors in Florida.
University of Central Florida
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is one of the largest universities in the country and offers a unique set of assets for the semiconductor industry. UCF recently received BBBRC funding to develop a digital twin for the Center for Neovation in Osceola County’s NeoCity. The digital twin will “replicate its production line, increasing microchip reliability, and productivity, lowering maintenance costs, reducing risk, creating new business, improving supply and delivery chain efficiency, and enabling cross-discipline collaboration to foster innovation.”
University of Florida
The University of Florida (UF) serves as a hub for the Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI). The institute provides a space for research, development, and workforce initiatives in semiconductor technologies. With a mission to cultivate Florida’s economic ecosystem, FSI drives high-impact research and development programs, expanding the semiconductor industry throughout Florida. Further fostering growth in the industry, FSI has expanded offices at Osceola County’s NeoCity, building an even stronger ecosystem of semiconductor research. Partnering with the Florida Semiconductor Engine, FSI is dedicated to encouraging workforce development and innovation.
University of South Florida
The University of South Florida (USF) is a university dedicated to advancing semiconductor education and research in educational environments. USF conducts a Research Traineeship program, continuing its mission of expanding resources, and educating professionals about the semiconductor industry. Recently, the university received a $3 million grant from the National Science Foundation to further the program that not only fosters professional development in the semiconductor industry but also contributes to the advancement of semiconductor research.
Valencia College
Valencia College is an innovative leader in higher education. With a degree program in Advanced Manufacturing, Valencia works to foster educational innovation for those interested in the semiconductor industry. With this program, Valencia serves as a hub for furthering educational development across the Central Florida region, impacting the semiconductor ecosystem by providing advancements in education, research, and workforce initiatives.
BRIDG
BRIDG is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership serving Osceola County, Florida in creating the semiconductor advanced packaging and workforce hub for America. BRIDG is a catalyst for driving the microelectronics systems industry forward through collaborative partnerships, knowledge exchange, product manufacturing, and responsible innovation key to national security and domestic self-sufficiency. By bridging the innovation development gap and serving as a hub for semiconductor packaging excellence through producing high-quality, high-reliability products for multiple market segments, BRIDG helps unlock the potential of microelectronics systems technologies to positively impact customers, partners, and society.
