The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Florida Semiconductor Engine is building an integrated semiconductor ecosystem across 23 counties in the state of Florida. From Tampa Bay through Orlando and to the Space Coast and beyond, The Engine focuses on developing the next generation of specialty and advanced packaging technologies, which produce cutting-edge semiconductors critical for defense, aerospace, medical, automotive, and other industries — bolstering our nation’s homeland security, creating new, high-wage jobs here at home, and transforming Florida’s economic landscape.
