2026 Request for Proposal on Workforce Development (WFD)

The Florida Semiconductor Engine (FSE), funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is requesting proposals to strengthen the semiconductor workforce across its 23-county Florida service region. This RFP seeks hands-on, industry-informed workforce development (WFD) programs serving learners at every level, including high-school and state-college students, university students, veterans, career-changers, and foreign-speaking populations. Priority will be given to proposals that broaden participation and build a shared, evidence-based understanding of regional workforce needs.

Awards are structured as one-year contracts of up to 12 months, keeping programs responsive to industry priorities. Strong performers may be considered for continuation in future years, subject to NSF funding, performance, and FSE priorities, though continuation is not guaranteed.
