About the Engine
Putting the Florida semiconductor industry on the map.

The importance of semiconductors to modern life cannot be overstated.
Semiconductors are essential components in modern electronics, powering our computers, smartphones, and all the other electronic equipment and devices our world depends on. Their development, manufacturing, packaging, and assembly is a multibillion-dollar industry with a vast impact on our daily lives and national security. Today, 98% of semiconductor packaging and assembly is done in foreign countries.
The Florida Semiconductor Engine will help bring that work back to U.S. shores and empower our state to tap into these enormous opportunities.
